How Much Does a Self-Service Kiosk Cost in the Philippines?

Kiosk cost is hardware, software, and the service it has to finish. What to budget for, and what we will not pretend to price on a blog post.

A self-service kiosk is three things sold as one: the cabinet and peripherals, the software that runs the service, and the integration into whatever already runs behind the counter.

That is why Nexus does not publish a single kiosk starting price the way we do for websites (from ₱40,000) and custom software (from ₱150,000). Hardware SKUs, printers, scanners, and how many units you deploy change the quote. Software for one lobby flow is a different project from a city-wide queue.

What you are buying

The unit. Screen, enclosure, optional printer, scanner, camera, or payment hardware. Indoor lobby vs outdoor, accessibility, and vandal resistance all move the number.

The service. Check-in, directory, forms, queue tickets, appointments. This is Nexus Kiosk: connected software, not a local PowerPoint.

The connection. Queue displays, existing LGU systems, SMS, or a staff console. Integration is often the real project. See what a digital city hall kiosk should actually do.

A practical way to budget

Budget the software as an operations system, then add hardware per location. One well-specified lobby is cheaper than five under-specified ones. A pilot that staff will actually use beats a city-wide rollout of a brochure.

Private-sector kiosks (clinics, queues, check-in) follow the same split: the business system is the source of truth; the kiosk is how the public touches it. Clinic examples we have shipped live in Work, including Dentos as a product Nexus built, not as a reason to treat Nexus as a dental company.

Civic vs commercial

LGUs should start from government solutions and citizen services. A business putting a kiosk in a showroom should start from operations software, then hardware.

Get a scoped number

Bring the flow (what the person must finish), the site (how many units, indoor/outdoor), and what systems already exist. We will tell you what belongs in software, what belongs in hardware, and what should wait.

What Should a Digital City Hall Kiosk Actually Do?

A lobby kiosk is not a smaller website. It is a citizen-facing service: find the office, join the right queue, and leave with a ticket that the back office can see.
